Towns to lose hospital services in Council Hub plan

• Berkhamsted, Tring and the villages to lose local hospital services as Council and West Herts Trust plan Hemel Hospital closure

• Council’s Local Plan admits ‘replacement’ Hemel Health Campus or Hub on town’s Market Square will be for Hemel people only

• Page 34 of the Council’s Local Plan says the Campus will provide ‘hospital and other specialist facilities that serve the wider needs of the town, and general practice facilities to meet the rising demand in the immediate area.’
• There is no mention of serving the hospital needs of the Borough of Dacorum 
• The Campus is now being described by the West Herts Trust as a ‘neighbourhood health centre’.
